Star Wars had ONE (1) good episode, (Revenge of the Sith), and SW:TOR is pretty good too.
LoTR has a good plot, and very diverse participants. LoTRo is like the deformed lovechild of WoW and RoM.
Star Trek has more sequels, TV series, compiled seasons, miniseries, boks, comics, and domestic product than ANY OTHER TV SHOW. Also, STo is a VERY dynamic game. Proof?

i dont think lord of the rings should be accredited for its storyline because its not entirely original it based roughly but mainly on one of my favorites the hobbit but thats not important back to the question id say star wars maybe its a close call

One does not simply pick Star War or Star Trek or Lord of the Rings.

I was raised with LotR so I would probably go with that. Star Wars would probably be second. I have always had a little trouble getting into Star Trek.

why do I have to choose? Especially since 2 are sci-fi and 1 is fantasy, they are totally different genres. There's room for all, in my mind....

I would have to pick Star Wars, Im not that really into Lord of the Rings, although I do like Star Trek, but Star Wars is so awesome! Filled with action, adventure, romance, and more!
