=====Prologue=====

After days of wandering in the desert, you've ran out of water and lost your map. The sun is setting and you're holding onto your hat to prevent the wind from catching it, your eyes getting blurred with sand.
As you lower your body down to the level of the ground and crawl against the wind, you stumble upon a small cave. You decide to rest inside and wait for the sandstorm to pass, but as you sit back and lean on the wall, you notice a deep chasm in the corner of the cave. You light up a torch and throw down a rope over the ledge, and begin to lower yourself down.
What you find is something you never thought you would find, something many adventurers could only dream of. You find The ever changing caverns of Olmec.

=====The Game=====

So this game is very heavily inspired by- .. Ah who am I kidding, this game is basically Spelunky as a forum game version. (But I refused to be as obvious as to name the game 'Spelunky'. Thus I changed 2 letters..) But this, being a forum game, will have more options to perform and it isn't limited to the game mechanics, so it wont be exactly like playing Spelunky.

For those who don't know, Spelunky is an indie game by Derek Yu, which just recently became a game for XBLA also. If you haven't played the original game, don't worry, I'll explain everything you need to know.

In the game, you will advance through various stages (that are different every time you play), and you will collect treasure on the way, as well as save damsels, fight enemies, and try to avoid traps and such (the traps will be annoying and merciless. dying is very easy). You may come across shops from which to buy/sell/steal items from, and there are plenty of different items you can get. (as Spelunky players probably know.) Dying will make you lose all your progress and you will have to start a new game. There will be a top 3 scoreboard, so do your best.

"Dying in Spelunky can be quick and painful."

=====More Info=====

Saving a damsel and bringing her to the exit of the current stage will give you +1 health, and bringing a golden idol to the exit will give you a certain amount of money based on the current stage.

Some stages also have sacrifice altars to The Goddess Kali, which can be 'used'. But be careful, you don't want to upset her..

All 4 sets of stages are 4 parts long each, and have different themes and special variables. (Again, straight from the game.) Some stages can contain some secrets areas and treasures within, but those you will have to find yourself! *Ominous laughter* Ahem.. Yeah you'll never find 'em.

You have a whip as a weapon, and bombs + ropes that are to be used conservably for movement and what not. Like I said, you can get new items too.

And lastly, if you wish to play the game, you can also choose whether you play alone or in a group with others. I suggest playing as a group, up to 4 people, but that of course needs 4 players that have all chosen to play as a group. If you do play as a group, then you can RP while playing and help each other (or the exact opposite of helping even), but playing alone is fine too. I thought it would be good to have the option.

Hope you enjoy the game, be sure to leave suggestions and feedback. Here's the sheet:

=====Player Sheet=====

Name: (If you want to play as a group and RP a little bit, then a normal name is recommended, but if you only want to use the name as a score holder then your AG name will do fine.)
Health: 4
Bombs/Ropes: 4/4 (Bombs is left and ropes is right, if you didn't get it..)
Items: Whip
-----
Stage: Mines 1-1
Money: $0/$0 (left is your current money, right is the total money you've had. Total money is only used for scores.)
Kills: -0 (How many enemies or friends you've killed)
Saves: -0 (How many damsels you've saved)
-----
Group: (yes or no, and how many players do you want in the group, 2-4?)
PvP: (Yes or no, if you play as a group, you can decide whether it's possible to hurt each other or not.)

==========================

PS: Development time for this game was about 2 weeks. Also, there's no player limit as of now, so anyone can join as long as I can handle it.

Thanks!

You go through the entrance to the first opening of the caverns, as the walls around you shift.. you enter the Mines 1-1, and see it like no one else has ever seen it before.

You look around.. On your right you see a clay pot and some golden ingots laying on the ground. There is a big bat hanging off the ceiling. There's also a ledge farther to your right that you could attempt to jump to.
On your left, you see a ladder down into a small pit. On the other side of the pit, there are some big stones on the wall with ancient carvings on them. You could also try to jump over this pit onto the other side, but you can't see what's on the other side from here.
Where do you go, what do you do?

You decide to head left and down the ladder, and you manage to stick to the ladder. But what you don't notice is that the ancient carvings on the stones were actually markings on some kind of trap. As you pass by the trap while climbing down the ladder, the trap shoots an arrow at you and you fall down to the bottom of the pit. (-2 Health)
You stand up and get your bearings, and you remove the arrow from your leg. You look around, and see a tunnel on the right wall of the pit, with a drop on the end of it. On the left, there is a pile of rocks. What now?

Alright great, let's hope someone else joins so you don't have to wait too long.

You move the rocks over and find a shiny green emerald, worth $800. You pick it up. (Treasure like this is automatically added to your money, and doesn't have to be carried.)

You snoop around the pit for passages, and notice that one of the big stones can be pushed. You push the stone out of the way, which leads to a new opening. Inside, there is a snake just circling around the room, a hole with cobweb, and a stack of gold ingots. Not much else.

(To get to the exit of the current stage, it's usually best to head downwards, btw)

I hope I wont have to bump this every other post.. If that does happen, then I don't think I should keep this game. I honestly developed it for like 2 weeks, leaving this one could kinda sting..

You grab the gold for $500 while the snake isn't paying attention to you.
Now which pit did you mean, the one with the cobweb or the one at the end of the tunnel? Because the one with the cobweb is just a small burrow where you could accidentally fall in, but if you meant the drop at the end of the tunnel, then: The rock falls down and you hear a faint landing sound after a while. The fall is pretty long, so you might want to use a rope.
