It is sometime in the near future, circa 2089. You live in a world in which the United States of America is a falling superpower. Communism has begun to "corrupt" other "countries", at least... that is what the United States says. Sirius is a new legitimate country, starting to become a superpower through the aid of other "countries." Sirius and the U.S. are both fighting for political influence and power. The U.S. has experience and money, while Sirius is new, but it has influence and help.
A few decades ago, many countries have unified, while keeping local customs and language. It started as a simple union, but later leaders have come to accept other cultures and attempted to force a world culture. As of right now, the borders of each "country" in the Union have dissolved, a global law has been established, a global currency has been established, a World Bank has opened up with a communist policy, and merchants and leaders have fled to real countries to exercise their careers there, since political leadership and the selling of goods is now illegal in the Union.
Sirius has just started out, with it's base in the Middle East. The country offers much freedom, for now. However, the Sirium community is unsure of how their government should work. As of now, there is no Sirium leader, though there are diplomats and military experts that lead the country forward; fortunately, they are getting along.
