Moon is taring into the enemy like some crazed animal and blinding them with a flash of light whenever they try to sneak up on Storm who is now standing on Moon and twirling with her daggers in hand. Every so often you would see Storm throw a throwing knife at an enemy that was father off. The whole thing looked like some sort of dance that made the area they were in rain blood.
All the shadow dragons flee and Vearlin lay wounded at the head of the table."Vearlin!"Tempest says running over to the wounded dragon. Damian comes close behind and as they run time seems to slow and a low laugh rings across the island. Time goes back to its original speed and Tempest kneels in front of the Severely wounded dragon.
Storm jumped off Moon and stayed on guard while Moon ran over to Vearlin. During the time that time slowed Moon cursed in her mind that she couldn't undo this sort of thing. When Moon got to Vearlin she started using her abilities to heal him but since she was only part light dragon and had just learned over half of the healing spells she was trying she wasn't too good at it.
Tempest shakes his head and Slams his fist on the table."Vearlin will live, but he will be severly weakened. He won't be able to do much. We will only be able to have his wisdom from this day forth. The council must elect a new peacekeeper. Someone Garlix will fear. Someone that can stand up to him."
"I don't know about fear but me and Storm are more then willing to stand up to that piece of scum." Moon said and tried not to growl out of anger over what had happened.
"It is up to the council to vote for the peacekeeper. That decision will have to wait till the morning since most of the council is either drunk or unconscious."Damian says.
Storm shakes her head. "That was why Garlix attacked." Storm said knowing that there needed to be no explanation for her words. The reasons were plain and simple, not to mention you would have to be blind to not see them.
"Garlix wanted his oldest enemy out of the way. He knew that the council would have to choose a new peacekeeper. He thinks that their choice will be no match to his power. He forgets that it isn't just the peacekeeper he must worry about."Damian says getting to work on healing Vearlin to the best that can be done.
"He will also have to worry about the peacekeeper's rider." Storm said while she looked around and smiled at her handy work. She fought for good but there were many things that made people wonder at times. Moon concentrated on healing Vearlin and ignores the way Storm is acting for she knows that there are many reasons why Storm may act evil at times and yet be completely on the side of good.
Moon walks over to Storm who is now cleaning her daggers and retrieving the throwing knives. Once by her side both checked each other for wounds and found nothing that was life threatening. "Next time we will have you equipped with a bow so you can get some of the ones that retreat." Moon said to Storm knowing that she hated to see the enemy get away.
"He walked out after the healing." Storm said when she noticed Tempest was looking for something. She figured he was looking for Damian cause that was the only person who had left the building and no one had come in.
