The year is 1947, the second world war has raged on for a very long time, battles won on both sides have extended it, the losses were great. To the point were the war petered out, and was rented out to mercenaries in tanks by 1945, although research on tanks and their weaponry has made giant leaps, the poorest mercenaries still fight in old inter-war tanks in small skirmishes, far from the huge modern tanks, on smaller fronts for small objectives.
This game is in a what-if scenario, where WWII has turned into a slow tank v. tank war, rented out to mercenaries for money. You play one such merc, who is fairly poor and have bought a small tank from the 30's, doing small contracts to make money.

ok, well you are on a loose dirt road in a small convoy heading towards a large encampment where you can get missions, at an area heavy with large brush you watch from your cupola and see the lead Leichttraktor get hit in the track by a shell, it careens off the road and into a ditch, you watch as it is hit again and explodes, you see the shot come from a large shrub to your northeast
Loco, before I join, I must protest with the accuracy of this game, mainly that the LTraktor (Leichttracktor) was considered a LIGHT TANK, not a heavy. I'll deffinately join, but maybe a little research on the tanks might help? I know you have done tank games before, but I'm not sure with this much historical accuracy. Please don't take any offense to what I've written here, but I do have to make a point, lol. Anyways, here's my sheet.

I'm wanting a heavy tank, but I'm kinda hoping for the Churchill, aka, the A22. It was a British heavy tank, initially, but many were donated to the USSR during WWII.
i mentioned up top you start with a mid war tin can, i never said it would be to your specifications
also i know what was donated through the lend lease act

ok then, well you are in a rather large convoy of tanks from teh mid 3's, you're near the front heading off towards a large base. 3/4's the journey there you are bombarded by artillery, many people choosing to hide behind large rocks and whatnot, but you see on both sides in the distance are hills with a lot of scrub. and other than the rocks there is no cover. you're still on the road when the tank behind you suffers a direct hit and explodes in fiery shrapnel. you hear over the radio "Comrades, off the roads, to cover!"

We get off the road and behind as good enough cover as we can find

you head off behind a rock, but then you see a T-26 get slammed by a shell, not artillery, in a nearby rock, judging from the tracer, you guess it's at the hill somewhere to your left (you're on the left side of the road)

I look over at the hill to see if there is any enemies in sight.
