Long ago, the land of Edoras was a peaceful place ruled by a right and just ruler. Unfortunately his trust was betrayed by his general, Dachus. Dachus overthrew his thrown and ordered his army to annex any and all neighboring countries. He waged war on a massive scale and ruled over his kingdom with an iron fist. His soldiers butchered innocents and raided their own towns.

You were one of his most loyal soldiers before he usurped the thrown and waged war on the world. Now you realize the full extent of his madness and fear staying with him any longer. You take ten of your best soldiers and flee his castle hoping to escape his tyranny and start an insurgence against him.

Excellent!

You set up your main encampment 5 miles off of the nearest town of Promitshire(currently not occupied). In the thick of the woods.

You send 3 soldiers into the forest to scout out more resources
On the way they meet up with a patrol of Enemy soldiers headed to the nearby town. They are able to scout them out without being seen and report back to you with their position along with any resources they found.
+25 wood +25 stone
Enemy forces in route to town- 2 soldiers, 1 bowman

Your forces set an ambush around the enemy before they can reach the town. In the battle your archers are able to take down 1 bowman and 1 soldier before they can react. The remaining soldier surrenders.

Meanwhile 2 of your other soldiers go into the nearby town to discuss an alliance. The town is weary because of you opposing the overlord. They don't like him either, but helping a traitor is treason and punishable by death. They will agree to an alliance and access to their town if you promise to protect them from the overlords wrath.

I have the forces take the soldier in for interrogation.

I agree to the towns terms, but suggest that the alliance is not known to anyone else. If the overlord makes them fight to show loyalty I understand.

Your forces take the soldier in for interrogation. At first they are able to get little out of the closed-mouthed swordsman, but eventually he gives in and tells you the location of a supply depot to the north of your position.
-What would you like to do?

The townspeople seem very happy that you agreed to the terms and they give you a few surplus resources that they didn't need. They also give you free access to any buildings in their town, including the inn, tavern, and other miscellaneous buildings. They also tell you that some of their young men are eager to fight the overlords reign. They tell you that you may recruit some of them from the tavern if you have any need of extra soldiers. However, they will still ask for a payment of 10 gold for they're services. Nothing is ever free in this world...

You spend all of your available gold to hire 5 swordsmen from the town. They will now join your regular army. men: 15/25

You send 5 soldiers to sabotage the supply depot. Although they masterfully disguise themselves, 2 of them are caught and executed, and a third is shot with an arrow in the leg on the way out. Although they are successful, you have paid a heavy price for the victory. 2 days later the wounded man dies due to infection.

ps: Try to be a bit more specific in your answers. Tell me how many men you want to recruit, how many men you want to send, what type of men, and so on.
