Use a rock to carve a few bowls out of one of the logs. Send 5 people to gather water using newly created bowls, Send 5 people to the forest to gather more items. (tell them to look carefully for vines.) Make the 5 extra people start using the sticks to prop up the remaining log for temporary shelter. Tell the children to look after the goat untill we can find somehting to restrain it.
