Those are some great armatars! On this page, I would say my favorites are the Easter bunny, the gems in a bottle, and the handful of gems.

What programs do you use to draw these armatars, if they aren't completely hand-drawn?

Yes, you guess right, majority was completely hand-drawn.
In other case, when I don't have time to draw (paint) , I am using MS Paint (Windows 7).

MS paint is perfect for this job. It's simple, has powerful tools, and with a little practice it can make wonders.

But still....
