STORY Does this game need a story? Probably not. In this game, you play as a ruler who will manage the build up of your nation on a continent uninhabited by man. As nations expand, wars, conflicts, trade, science, and many other things will ensue. The players (and I) will write the history of the continent. No really, I might even write a history book on this game. Heh.

STARTING AREAS Starting Area is important. At least I think so. Just say an area that is visible on the map, such as Italy, Egypt, Iceland, etc. and your nation will be founded somewhere in the area. Or if you want to be specific, you can name an exact area and I will try my best to set you there.
NATION BONUSES Nation Bonuses are bonuses that you can have to gain an edge over others. Once a Nation Bonus is picked, no other player can have that bonus. You can only pick one. You don't have to pick one, if you want a challenge.
1. Friendly Neighbors: AI Nations will become extra kind to you, giving you gold and resources regularly while also offering military protection.
2. Ingenuity: Research technology twice as fast and invent things much faster. Also greatly increases intelligence and literacy of people in your nation.
3. Resilient: Your soldiers become stronger, your income increases by 25%, and all costs for buildings and repairs are halved when at war with a nation that is more powerful than yours.
4. Warlord: Soldiers cost half the amount, move at twice normal speed, and are slightly stronger. Also a higher chance for enemy soldiers to desert to your nation instead.
5. Population Growth: Double population growth in all settlements. Food production is doubled and food cost is halved.
6. Master of Seas: All ships can move faster and can endure much more damage before needing repairs. Ship repairing is free and ship building cost is cut in half.
7. Cities of Gold: Triple amount of money income and reduce all costs for everything in half.
8. Switzerland: Soldiers become nearly invincible when defending inside home nation borders, but become extremely weak when attacking outside home nation borders.
9. Loyal Citizens: People in your nation are very much less likely to rebel against you, and are always much happier than normal. Crime rate is also reduced to very little or none.
10. Resourceful: Only half the amount of resources are needed for building. Also, repairing does not use resources.

Its a little history joke. In the joke, the Nazis during WW2 threatened to invade Switzerland. Today, Switzerland is filled with explosives, citizens with guns, and nuclear shelters. In short, the Swiss replied to the Nazis, 'Sir, we will just shoot twice and then go home.' In reality the Nazis never invaded the Swiss. I don't know if the makes sense to you. lol
