All done here! Not too hard, but not easy either, takes some practice to get 4500 on time attack and the level 15 nexus you really need patience on endless. Some tips:
- I like to have 3 of each resource producing structure, but not any more! - For 4500 time attack, get a level 4 city as quick as you can, and start on the nexus as quick as you can. Try to build nexuses (nexi?) away from your buildings so you can terraform without affecting your buildings. I had about 4900 when I got it, at the end I had a level 2, a level 3 and a level 7 nexus, the earlier you can get them, the better. - It's useful if each of your buildings are at least level 2, this way if it isn't possible for you to protect them from certain disasters, they will only downgrade instead of being destroyed. - I alternated the delay skill and cancel skill on endless mode while I worked my way up to the level 15, some disasters I just let happen if I saw they weren't going to affect many tiles (You can click on the disaster countdown and it will show you which tiles will be affected, you can do this once you have the identification skill). Takes patience but you'll get there!
I think if you upgrade Delay and Cancel to maximum, and if you produce resources quickly enough, you can use a Delay and Cancel chain to always cancel the next incoming disaster. This tactic is probably more helpful for endless mode. It can be helpful in Time Attack, but you should focus on getting a Nexus or more out on the field first.
for the time attack,I recommend choosing two hills together to build the nexus.then they can share lots of tiles and can be built the first several levels very fast.
1) The map is randomized each time. Restart the map until you have a favorable setup. The ideal setup is where you can get an initial city with 2 grassland and 2 forests adjacent to it, with a couple mountains and a few lakes scattered around.
2) Building another nexus is more efficient than upgrading a single one. Points is based on total nexus level, a level 7 upgrade gives you exactly the same points as building a new level 1 nexus.
3) Rush a level 4 city and a level 1 nexus as fast as you can. Do NOT use resources on the terraforming skills until you actually need one to upgrade a nexus. The faster you can get those upgrades the faster your points accumulate
4) Ignore disasters that don't affect anything. Spending points on cancel/delay/protection will delay your nexus upgrades, which will delay your points further. A few desert tiles in a corner won't hurt you. If a disaster is going to affect a building - let it. It's generally cheaper to just re-upgrade the building if you need it rather than wasting resources on protection.
Thanks for the advice here; I went from averaging 2,800 points to 3,400 points in the one time I tried this "bare bones" approach. I would have had more but a Major Shift removed three of my Nexuses in one shot -- wasn't paying attention as much as I ought to have.
hate tinysaters 2 it too easy why put quests there try puting one on rebuild 2 instead so ev1 will have a hard time getting it hahaha that game is extremely hard

I liked the Tinysasters 2 quests. I felt it proved a moderate challenge along with the rather difficult Excellence (score 4500 points on the time attack mode) quest. If the quests get too hard it can be frustrating and overwhelming. I don't mind a game with easy quests here or there (or even more so). :]
The only advice I have that hasn't already been covered here, is that when the game is paused you can give build/upgrade orders and use skills, so take advantage of that as much as you can. Also pause anytime you start a nexus upgrade, so you can take a look at what you need and plan ahead without losing time on the clock.
Was quite fun. mostly easy but some challenging ones. Time attack takes a bit to understand but once you have a tactic and build nexus quickly it is simple.
