Yeah I love doodling, some of my best little sketches are doodles.
Like carving, sometimes you've got to just let the wood form itself.
I can fiddle endlessly with a picture, playing with shapes.
That I think is what it is all about, enjoying what you do.
This is difficult for me to be honest... I'm always compelled to have my work turn out symmetric and perfect. I'm usually busy trying to correct mistakes (to my eyes) in my work and end up spending valuable time with this, too much time! The fact that I like to have symmetry in my work also takes up a lot of time as well... especially if I'm further into working on an image and then discover something is off-centered or not mirrored right... correcting that then takes even more time, which it shouldn't, I know... but it's something I can't shake off. That's why I have the utmost respect for freestyle artists that wing their work during creation!
