What pet is better, wolf or spirit? Wolf shots, but spirit reduces spell cooldwon so more spells.
Anyway, some advises for "Untouchable" quest:
1)Turn off, in options, shadow, debris fade and so on, especially screen shake.
2)I have used the spirit pet. You should cast spells in safe moments, just for avoid too projectiles at the same time on the screen.
3)Pay attention to that black puddles, usually they appear after that troll minions spawn.
4) Maybe yes, maybe no, lag can be useful.
just finished "Untouchable" quest. man, this was seriously annoying without a restart button.
tips
-change your spells hotkey. i used Q for fire, E for ice and R for plague
- first form is easy, just be patient and kill it
-in the second form, i almost always stood outside the carpet
-first he fires 3 waves of fire which explode into red orbs when hit the wall
-then the fires waves of fire in form of an X and spawns blue monsters
-usually, after the blue monster spawn he summons the black pits and skeletons (so, i recommend staying still in the place until you know where are the black pits)
-then, he will do a spinning attack with red orbs
-then he starts to send fire waves and when these fire waves hit the wall they explode into red orbs
once you get the pattern it gets easier, i even managed to do it twice
ps: the hidden star is in the skull the spirit drops when he dies.
Know what's really annoying? Being almost there and the boss getting stuck in an attack animation while being untargetable. As if this wasn't time wasting enough already. -.-
@Dracan, do you recall what spell he was casting when he froze up? Do you remember what you were doing prior to him freezing? Did you hit him with any spells, bullets, etc.?
I'll look into this but I'll need a tad more information.
This would have been right after he re-appeared from summoning the fire-cross/trolls for the second time, so I assume he was going to start casting the single fire-waves/red-orb ricochet at that point.
I was in the lower-left corner at that point waiting for him to reappear, prolly dispatching the trolls with a fireball and shooting bullets in the general direction I assumed him to appear.
Nothing wrong with that, though, especially since the game was enjoyable, the last quest was a bit challenging but pretty easy once you learn the patterns, only took me a handful of tries.
@Laspa - Wolf is better for normal levels because enemies die in just a couple hits anyway, while Spirit is better for bosses because you can take full advantage of the huge damage on spells like Ice Shards, for instance.
The final quest was a bit challenging. The boss uses the same pattern over and over again. So I wrote down the attacks on a tiny piece of paper and stick it to my screen. If anyone wants to know the attacks, here you go:
Blue Mage:
1. 5x normal shots
2. 3x shots like a bow
3. splitter bombs
4. 5x normal shots OR 3x shots like a bow
5. Inferno (the thing where everything explodes and so)
6. 5x normal shots
7. Green Fire
8. 3x shots like a bow
9. 5x normal shots OR 3x shots like a bow
10. Tornado thing
Should be dead by now
Dark Spirit:
1. 3x fast green fire
2. purple monster spawn
3. black ugly glue
4. skeletons spawn
5. Hurricane thing
6. 5x slow green fire
7. purple monster spawn
8. 3x fast green fire
9. purple monster spawn
10. black ugly glue
11. skeletons spawn
12. Hurricane thing
Should be dead now.
Congrats.
Anyone know where the 10 hidden birds are?? i just went to every stage i unlocked and went in like a madman missing all the enemies and tried to kill the birds but no luck help please.
If you want to kill 10 hidden birds, go to the level select screen. Every once in a while you'll see a silhouette of a bird flying just above the mountains. Click on them to kill them (do this 10 times to get the quest)
