Remember the "Draw a gem, Win a GC:CS Steam key" contest?
Here's how I created my entry.
First, I took an actual image of Field G13 from GemCraft Labyrinth, which I got from the Wiki itself:
Then, I took a pure white piece of paper, laid it over the above image, put those on top of my tablet (Samsung Galaxy), traced the lines, and got this:
...That's not good enough.
So, the next thing that I did was remove both the tablet and the Wiki image, colored it in with some old colored pencils that I found, and got the final image with some minor changes:
Looks good. But now what? I need to get this actual image to the ArmorGames forums, and I don't have a digital copy! Problem solved: My high-tech printer has a "scan" feature, so that it renders a digitized photo of what was drawn.
But now what? The second-to-last step is to upload to [DATA EXPUNGED], and post the image to the competition.
And the final step? Wait.
The complications that I had with this was working quickly so that the oil that my hands excreted didn't wreck the image. And what's worse, after I was done, it curled too much, so I had to let it sit out overnight under a book.
...And that's how I created my entry.
Also, to everyone else who submitted their entry:
Great work.
