I've flagged a guy 30 minutes ago for his profane comment and it's still there.
Why is it taking so long for you to take action?

@ShotgunTheory if it's urgent, click 'share' under the comment you want to report, get the link and paste it in a comment to a mod's profile. But even so, it would probably take a day for an action to take place. Flagging is slower, but in general, expecting action to be taken in 30 minutes is a tad bit too much ...

All because I've seen spams that didn't even last an hour until I see the 'awaiting moderation' status. Right now, that post is up there for an hour. What's up with that?

the Forum spam is more visible. You log in and you see it immediately. Comments on thousands of games can go unnoticed. Also, sometimes it is just about luck. A mod may come online fast enough to look into it immediately, other times it will take more time...

It's awaiting moderation now. I hope it gets deleted fast. Thanks for the pep talk. Is there an option to close this thread?

Keep in mind that being a mod is a voluntary function. We always aim to be active regularly and deal with spam and reports as soon as possible, but we cannot always be online 24/7, so bear with us.

As for closing the thread, you can request a mod to lock a thread you made. I'll go ahead and do it (you can always leave a comment on my profile if you want it unlocked again).
