I have the same problem here. I think this is a problem with the new firefox 57.
especially with cookies or so ot with redirection of browser path.
if I am loged in and try to start gemcraft I get the error message from above.
if I am not loged in and start gemcraft I get the error code "this game can only starting from the armorgames webpage" this is confusing becaouse I am on armorgame
Hi, I have the same problem.
Moreover, from the homepage, I can't go to "My games" or on the forum, except if I write the web adddress in the address bar.
It's really annoying
The issue seems to be caused when the webpage redirects from HTTPS to HTTP (with no "S" ) .
A few workarounds (this may work for some pages or games, but there's no guarantee of that):
- Find the game you want to play, right click on it and select Open Link in New Tab
- Go to the game page directly by opening a new tab and paste the URL of the game into the new tabs URL bar and hit enter.
(Please note that trying this method on the error page will not work. This is best done in a fresh new tab.)
To help us rule out some of the causes for why this may be happening, can those of you that haven't already mentioned if you enabled the Flash player please check this link out for us. At the bottom I have a few screen captures of permissions you'd need to click and enable the Flash Player to run.
If this isn't working for you, please reply back with the link to the game and any screen captures of the error on the browser. That will help me with collecting some data to pass along as a bug report.
I have flash player enabled, It's not the games it's self, it's when redirecting to the game. Luckily I have the game I wanted to play bookmarked, so I can play it. But for example, if I try to access some of my favourite games, Like Crusaders of the Lost Idol (https://armorgames.com/crusaders-of-the-lost-idols-game/17824), I get a "roblem loading page" error generated by fire fox. Literally c/p'ing the url into a new tab lets me load the game. One thing I've noticed is that, when I do this, the https:// part of the url disappears automatically, where the games I can load it remains. (my other fav games are Time Clickers, Clicker Heroes and GemCraft Labyrinth)
Using Firefox, the "Forums" link doesn't work, under "Community" tab.
I had to take the "s" off of the http and then it worked.
So it seems like there's an issue with Firefox and handling http/https on this site.
As a side note, the Player Rankings moved from the "Quests" tab to the "Community" tab, just today.
I found this thread and the link while I was looking for it.
Weird.
I've been trying to get this to happen on my system and I've not been successful as of yet. I'll keep at it and see what I can do to replicate this to help the web team out with some additional information.
I've been looking at the Firefox forums a bit to see if this is something that has been happening elsewhere in hopes of having another workaround to share. For now, if this is still happening for you guys and gals and you wouldn't mind doing a bit of testing, can you please try clearing your cookies in case they are not playing nice after the browser update?
