No, you don't need a license, you just need a version of Flash. However, if you buy the Student-version of Flash you cannot legally submit your games to ArmorGames (or other websites for that matter)
Well I don't really like that since if you don't have enough money you can never submit the game since you can't afford it. I don't get why you have to buy flash to make flash games if you don't sell them. Adobe and the software company's are making to much profit from their software since its so damn expensive. They should sell it for less since more people would buy it. Otherwise I'm just redownloading the trail version everything it expires.
I don't know, I mean the way I see it if you are using their product to make money (like Flash Game Sponsorships) you should have to pay for the product. Yes, it does cost a lot of money to buy, but there are ways to get around it. If you are a student and just want to use it for non-commercial use you can get it much cheaper, and if you want to you can get an older version of Flash for several hundred dollars less, the upgrades are not THAT much better. But the fact is that Flash is an AMAZING program, it can do so many different things, I feel like they have a reason to put a price tag on it. Adobe has to get their money somehow.
Actually if you really are into flash the upgrades are lot better and you can't use the student one to post games on ag. I would just make a game for the fun of it not for the sponsorships. Yeah but adobe is making to much money and its a bit to pricey unless you are serious about it like me. I would buy its but i'm poor so I just use the trails or cracks.
well, price on a product is determined on how much labor was put into it, and to investigate how to make such a wonderful program musta took a pretty penny, plus, there are the laborers to actually MAKE the soft/hardware.
Well technically flash isn't the most amazing software. I hate to say it. 3dmax studio cost around the same as cs3 prof and 3dmax is used to make 3d videos and games and is the most well know software. So compared to adobe, adobe is overpriced. Also wouldn't they make more money if they sell it at a cheaper price since most people would buy it for less.
Lol everything's on disk you don't see wow demos and spongebob whatever cost $1000 just because it takes people to make the discs. Disk's are cheap compared to the actual software and people don't burn the disk the have computers for that an judging by the size of adobe its automated.
