I don't wanna pay $100 to make a few games. I know that Tisfat (stickfigure animator, like pivot, but a little easier) can turn it into an .swf file, but how do i put the swf files together? i just don't want to get adobe flash. it's kinda pointless if all ur gonna do is make a few games. i know they have a trial, but that's only 30 days. any other programs besides adobe?
Swish Max, maybe... I haven't really used it, just heard of it.
And maybe you can use "Game Maker". It doesn't make flash games, it makes executables, but maybe after making your game, make videos of your game to promote it and then upload the videos to Youtube or convert the videos to flash using 30-day Adobe Flash and upload the movies to NG, then link to your site where people can download the exe of your game.
i know 1 but its a bad 1 just for making some ads.
You can download flash 8 from a website its an trial version but then i found the serial and that did it. thats why i use flash 8 and not flash CS3 because flash 8 doesn't need to registry via the internet and CS3 only has a better skin + Actionscript 3.
If you are looking to just create games for fun, gamemaker will work for you. However, it is somewhat limited and you can't embed .exe's in to web pages like you can .swf's. But if you went for flash, you would have to learn actionscript, which may be tough if you have no knowledge of any other languages.
Yes, there plenty of programs to build games. For online games NOT made in Flash, I recommend using products from Clickteam (Game Factory or Multimedia Fusion 2 which is better). Microsoft is also coming out with something called SilverLight. In short, folks are moving more into games for xbox, psp and wii. Flash can create games for some of these platforms.
If you'd rather create downloadable games try Game Maker as mentioned in other post or better still use: Torque Game Engine
If you have a mac download this: http://members.aol.com/AlStaff/GameMakerHelp.html it's small time and doesn't have an actual site, but there no spyware in it and It makes games ok
Just found this FREE 2D game creator. Haven't had time to work with it, but it seems complete and produces excellent games. I researched all the resource/support pages and . . . WOW! Try this site
