Right, so I pulled out of the previous GFX round due to not being able to finish on time. Since then I've been working on the image on-and-off and now it's finished only about a week late.
The picture shown below is half the size, the fullsize one can be found by clicking on the picture.
The full resolution pic (1280xs1024) is low quality...the high quality version is 1.1Mb and doesn't fit on photobucket xD Lame. Except I feel justified with the size...this was hand-drawn from start to finish.
I should have tidied up the sketchlines more, but wasn't actually intending to spend this much effort on it. Meh.
*points to profile* you get 2xAP gain booster too!
Right, here I am to post some more MWT pages. It's gonna be a long chapter to wrap up...
Page 24:
Possibly the first time I've actually tried keeping to Carlie's actual likeness (bottom right). I estimate it's about 70% right.
Page 25:
I'm redesigning Strop's room so instead of the drop at the edge of the landing, there's a trapdoor. Makes much more sense.
Page 26:
Strop knows Orlestat best for giving him a hard time. Orlestat looks to be living up to his reputation. Refer to their previous encounter in Chapter 4 (page 33-40 on this thread) and you'll realise Orlestat is rubbing a few choice phrases in Strop's face.
Page 27:
Naturally Strop gets a little stroppy. Orlestat's hooked beak makes an excellent visual representation of his biting tongue.
Page 28:
Strop moves for the first time since page 20. Orlestat figures he's said all there is to be said. This will, after all, be a time of much contemplation on Strop's part.
Page 29:
Orlestat's little service, as well as the larger one of saving Strop's life is not lost on Strop.
A little note about Strop's room now- Strop's room is in fact in the highest tower in ArmorCastle. It was originally going to be a clock tower but a measurement bungle meant that the tower was built three times smaller than it was meant to be. As such the clock face was of insufficient diameter to be even visible from the ground, so it was abandoned. Strop took the liberty of turning it into a room, but deliberately left the staircase in its current state- not constructed. Hence there are only two ways into the tower: flying into the window or climbing either the inside or the outside of the tower (hence Carlie's line: "your stairless entry is killing me". Disturbingly, several people have somehow managed to break into Strop's room to harrass him while he is off-duty, including Klaus (the talking bear), and he is definitely not the last!
Page 30:
Uncharacteristically, Orlestat acknowledges this gratitude. This will be maybe the one and only time Orlestat will do this in the scope of Strop's stories.
Phew! Okay, so that's Orlestat done...I have a few more sections to go on this...but exams are nearing so there's no telling when they'll be done D:
May thine zombie thread be sustained by the mist of the morrow until the creator will cometh back to his abode, and grace it with his artworks! Excelsior!
You know. I thought that the duplicate and the fail image would be sufficient. But evidently not. Trying to deal with the Videogame sections just makes me go...
