Right, so I pulled out of the previous GFX round due to not being able to finish on time. Since then I've been working on the image on-and-off and now it's finished only about a week late.
The picture shown below is half the size, the fullsize one can be found by clicking on the picture.
The full resolution pic (1280xs1024) is low quality...the high quality version is 1.1Mb and doesn't fit on photobucket xD Lame. Except I feel justified with the size...this was hand-drawn from start to finish.
I should have tidied up the sketchlines more, but wasn't actually intending to spend this much effort on it. Meh.
Guys, nothing wrong with the left arm, that's just foreshortening. You can tell by the way the shadow goes under the elbow, otherwise the definition of the bicep would have been more clearly visible (yes, Strip has some muscle on her lol).
Cen is the dude with the blonde hair in a ponytail, having a running battle of sneaky-peeksies with Strop.
Don't mind me, I was just trying to figure out what I can and can't do with these bbcode tags. I haven't had much luck with resizing images.
Also I would have liked to alter the title of the image but apparently I can't do that either. What I wanted to say was "click the image for a link to the full size image" or something.
Kai will do that with a poorly aimed karate kick any time soon anyway. Not to mention he has little idea of what Christmas is all about, so he wouldn't care much for the tree anyway.
I kind of wanted not to reach 10k forum posts to be honest. But here I am anyway so.
On that note I saw the recent Tintin adaptation. It was actually quite good and that's coming from a big Tintin fan who watched all the animations and read all the books as a kid. Who is skeptical of all new adaptations of old classics. But yeah, pretty good! I imagine there'll be a sequel out sometime because the story they adapted wasn't finished. And that's just fine by me.
I am glad that Cen retains a modly air post-resignation, it's better than the other way around for me haha, wherein I am a mod but don't actually perform any mo-
ANYWAY
I got distracted from the WoM by a) things going terribly wrong at work (for no fault of my own) b) my personal life being temporarily derailed c) writing an Armor Games related soundtrack.
Eventually I hope to actually write the fully orchestrated versions but at this stage I'm just dashing out some drafts for two pianos (seeing as my brother and I can then record them first, in fact I plan to write a couple of hours worth of tracks and then we can do a recital lol). I've already posted links to a couple of them but here's the slowly growing list:
Now Go Forth! (Let Me See the Strength of Your Will) (3:38) - a proposed theme song for my AG story universe in its entirety. Seeing as this is my AG verse that I'm writing for, you could also loosely consider that it may end up being Strop's theme.
Between this and the next track I'm still writing a song in which a great storm is blowing through the wilderness.
Good Morning! (How Do You Do, Fellow Citizen?) (3:09) - Clear blue skies preside over a quietly bubbling industrious morning in Armor City. This refers way back to the time when I first joined AG and it had a population of about 50000 (as opposed to 2.4 million).
Beware the Fish (In the Moat) (3:25) - As some of you may have guessed, this one's dedicated to Ubertuna (who mysteriously disappeared and nobody seems to have seen him since like 2009), the keeper of AG castle's moat. He also fancies himself a grand villain and necromancer, and rumour has it that all those trout in the moat are already dead...
Quiet Please (The Library is for Reading (3:19) - Cen is a librarian, this is his theme. Influenced by his (secret) fondness for musical theatre, so I laced it with Sondheim. You can't have Cen having a nice quiet day in the library without Strop rocking up and dragging him outside because he needs to see the sunshine/rain/hail/snow and generally get some exercise and man up.
