Hi,

So I downloaded Flash CS3 (under trial at the moment) and have done a few tutorials about basic animation and drawing. (I made this from a tutorial

I was now looking for some tutorials on how to start coding, but anything that I can find just mushes my brain.

Does anyone know of some good tutorials which are good for people only just starting with AS3, or really only just starting with Flash.

This is the relationship between me and Flash:

Once you get down the very basics use this tutorial:

Very very good tutorial. Whatever you do, DO NOT COPY + PASTE ANYTHING. Ever. You will not learn anything unless you manually write the code down yourself.

The fact is your going to have to try *really* hard and somehow make your trail version last longer for you to actually get anywhere. Action script is based on java. Java is a medium programming language.
The fact it if you don't teach yourself constantly for a long time you won't really learn it. I the simple fact is that it's hard I would recommend you to learn python or a simpler language so you get the core of how programming language work and build on top of that.

However if you got the gutz you might want to invest in a book or some videos like www.cartoonsmart.com (both excellent animation and some good programming basics). Also adobe has some pdfs and stuff as well as flash.

Also don't bother copy pasting you don't learn anything and you become a script kiddie who can't even write simple functions.

Good luck.
