Ello programmers and hopefuls! (Like me D I have never written any code (apart from short simple LUA) and have NO experience whatsoever with ANY game engines. Does anyone have any ideas on how for me to become a beginner programmer? No proffesional stuff, I dont care if it takes me 5 straight months to learn. I just want to make games. Please, please, PLEASE POST! Thankee

P.S. I would preferrably liek to NOT spend any money on Adobe stuff

Use Game Maker. Its easy and gets the job done.

If you make them in game maker.. no because AG only supports flash.

Well game maker can be turned into exe file, and apparently some people are finding a way to convert exe files to flash so...maybe you could

Learn python or something it's pretty simple but I don't see how you could make a game in 5 months. Or something relatively interesting.

I also don't see how you can not spend money and yet want to post a game on AG. Since you need flash in order to make flash games.

They would most likely get rejected it's not the fact that they are game maker it's because of the quality of the games. Anything you make in game maker pales in comparison to what flash can do.

Do what I did. Just get a free trial of Flash. You can make a number of games just using simple script, like startDrag to make custom cursors. Check out some Flash tuts too, they help a lot.
