Hey. I dunno where to start/how to word this so I'll be blunt... if you want any more details feel free to ask.

I've been looking for a programmer. I have trouble learning this stuff, and so I was hoping someone would be interested in helping, and splitting what would be made from a sponsorship. I am in charge of the design, concept, art, music, etc (I may have others to assist me) and of course pay would be split accordingly.

Many have demanded as such, so I'll just say it now - I cannot guarantee any specific payout - the best I can do is to give a percentage of whatever I get - this is my first attempt at something like this - not only am I not known, but my design, my games - nothing is there. I'm a nobody, and as such, I don't know what any sponsorship would be for a game, nor am I able to know about what I'd earn.

Anyway, the game is a vertical scrolling SHMUP (think RaidenX, Tryian, etc.). The GDD is completed for the most part, save for a completely outlined storyline.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but usually it's the programmers that request artists. A game doesn't need an artist, but it requires a programmer. This kind of ranks programmers higher on the game design industry than artists. Also, programming is a lot more complicated than art. As a result, programmers can ask an artist to do a task more specificly than the other way around. An artist in charge would be awkward.

Actually, an artist with no refrences posting on the programming help section asking to be the boss of a programmer is pretty rude. It's like not respecting your superiors.

I thought that my profile showed the link that I placed when signing up. My bad.

So... have you even got any animations or anything like that? So if a programmer would work with you, what art would they use in their game? Examples please.
