Post your playable Crush the Castle 2 maps. There are other threads for talking about CtC2. If it's not good for shooting at or interesting to look at don't put it here: NO castles that fall apart by themselves, NO random junk piles.
btw, i saw some of ur castles have long beam heights. I kno without code manipulation, it could go for only a certain distance. How did u make urs exceed that maximum height?
I really dislike levels that are invisible and I know how to program them but don't. It irritates others playing the game and makes the designer of the map arrogant. If you are going to do that, it is a demonstration and not a game so, leave the field as unlimited.
The purpose of these kinds of levels are to test if you can hit and win the Gold medal. You can use as many ammo as you want, but I want players to have a desired goal to meet when playing these kinds of castles. In other words, they don't have to meet the standards to get a gold medal, they can just use unlimited ammo to destroy it, but if they are really up for the challenge, they have a certain drive that can not only keep them busy, but also improve on their memory and skill of aim. If players really do dislike it, they can just hit the back button and play another castle. I think there's no difference in setting the amount of certain hits to achieve a gold medal and setting it unlimited, because either way, you have unlimited ammo, it's just all psychological.
Plus, it will sometimes attract and encourage more players to build castles and share them, because they would say " wow, how did you do that?!" because it's not allowed without code manipulation. It's unique in a way that breaks the law of gravity. They as well will more than likely be willing to learn and make awesome castles too. They will soon think it's fun, and make more. That's my philosophy. I'm not disagreeing with you, i'm just sharing my personal opinion and I understand you are too.
My point is simply this, if you don't know where the goal line is located, (a goal line that the designer knows about), why waste your time. I believe that the castles we build should be able to be destroyed in 5 shots or less, maximum!
The challenge is the ability to use the trebuchet to place your shots knowing where you have to hit! Without knowing, it is just a hit or miss extravaganza and gets quite boring after 25 shots into nothing!
My opinion is only my opinion and only about what I like in the game.
The King wanted to educate his son the Prince and heir of the throne by showing him how the peasant and other common people work so they started by a VISIT to the WATERMILL that turned into a nightmare!
I understand your opinion. I believe I'm not the only one making invisible castles. I'm pretty sure other players are too. I guess your a player that likes visible castles eh? Well, im not disagreeing you on that because i respect your opinion. But i also believe that these are not "wasting your time", because there is a "back" button. It makes the castles interestng. I like making these castles because they are cool, and very unique, and I believe some individuals out there do the same, because I'm sure they think it's cool too. Destroying it is another matter, these castles are mainly for looks, and skill building if they're really into it.
By the way, I play another game when I'm not here and I have designed at least 300 levels or more in this game.
Read the instructions to the Right.
While there is an invisible danger in this level, you soon learn it and adjust. I try to make my levels transparent so you know where you have to go and what you have to do. Mystery Tour
I worked with the game developer in the Beta version to correct some errors.
He has a game pack at: Netshift with 29 levels starting from easy to very difficult but there is a good learning process.
BTW SSTG, if I am missing from here, you know where I am at! ha ha ha
On that Game, I am Obie. Mostly because of Super Serif Brothers but that is another story.
