i just learned the entire BASIC language (everything from booleans to arrays)...

now i'm starting to learn a bit of Java (through Robocode) but i really want to learn AS to help my friend on a sniper game (which we could hopefully post here)

should i start learnig AS2 or AS3? and when do you think the next Flash is going to come out? i don't want to buy CS3 now (even though it just came out) and have to buy updates and stuff or find out that the world has moved on... please help!

Go on youtube and on channels type in Tutvid, (or something like that) watch his Scripting 101 video and other tutorials, they're very in-depth and high quality.

Yes, you should start learning Actionscript. I would start with AS2. You can do alot with it and im sticking with it(AS3 looks kinda scary)
