What is a good and free game engine I could use to make games. Also I am a sonic spriter so will i be allowed to use sprite FCs if not how can I make my own characters.
Get Flash CS3, Learn Actionscript, and make games.
FlashDevelop mixed with Flixel. It's a freeware Flash programming IDE, using only AS, then the game engine lets you use sprites.Definately the best free option out there.
Don't forget that Gimp is a decent program for drawing, assuming you can embed the pictures with FlashDevelop.
