G'day all, big fan of the site. Just wanted to know what people think of my idea. I have just created this for *h**s and giggles. Once again this is only an idea I have no really talent in programming. So I was just thinking if some legend if they like it could wack in some code and bring this idea to life. If so great. Thank you all for the feedback. I did get in contact with another development company here in the Aus and there saying $40k to create it in single player mode and $60k got muilt player mode on the iphone would this be about right ?
Yeah, well first off pretty sure that's a ripoff. You'd be better off learning the code yourself, coding it, and all. Could do that under 500 dollars, easy.
Yes, you do. Well then your best bet is to purchase a used mac mini then, the ones that are the equivalent to a cpu. Then you need display, mouse and keyboard.
Yeah thats not going to happen haha ok so flash it will have to be but now with flash i have to buy from adobe for what about $600? And java code.. ill look that up. I have photo shop so i am ok in creating images and pictures. It is java that is needed to program flash games ? or can i just learn C++?
Java is used to make Java code, C++ is used to make C++ code and Action Script is used to make Flash games. You could make the game in Java or C++ but it would take a long time to learn either of these languages to a great extent since they're very advanced programming languages. However, the compilers are free so if you want to make a game at no charge whatsoever go with C++ or Java.
Unfortunately, I don't think Java programs are compatible with the iPhone.
The problem with programming with Flash is that Apple has refused to (for lack of a better word) stock apps made with 3rd party compilers, like Flash's.
