So it doesn't actually make anything stronger than the spinal cord? It just suppresses muscle control? That's interesting, that means that over an extended period of time(say, a week) of being active and using its superior strength and agility a zombie would actually start to deteriorate. Interesting.

no over about a lifetime it's a very slow and controlled deterioration it makes it's own power from both photosynthesis and eating (whatever fancy term that is) and is spread via those little bulbous things. it also uses power from the calcium in the hosts bones but if the host lacks calcium well.. you haven't conducted those tests

I'm not talking about power, per se. You said that the zombie derived its strength purely from the lack of muscle suppression control. There's a reason for that suppression; as strong as the human muscles may be, the human tendons, skins, etc. can't handle the tension. That's why you don't see a lot of Supermen walking around. If you lose muscle suppression control and start hulking out constantly, you'll be dead soon. Scientific qualms aside, keep testing. Knowledge is power.

they get the power to suppress the muscles but obviously the parasite itself ages and weakens but it's lifespan is about 5 years shorter than a hoo-mans but as it continues ho weaken the first thing to come back is the ability to feel pain which could all in the end kill the host himself

unless you can operate on the infected person within three weeks of the parasite insertion, the parasite snaps the hosts neck and creates it's own "neck" out of its own organic matter to control the body, how it keeps the host still functioning in between is a mystery
