I want to start programming with Flash. You have to download it so thats what worries me.Is there a chance of a virus for any chance. If there isnt then i can start making games. If yes then i shall not start making games. Please Answer.
Adobe is a pretty safe place to download software. Just make sure to have a good anti-virus and scan everything you download just to be safe. But I wouldn't be worried. Good luck.
Komputerkurt is right, unless you're downloading a pirated (illegal) copy, you won't have anything to worry about. Unless you get it straight from Adobe, your chances of a virus/trojan skyrocket.
Even if you do decide to download from an illegal source (not recommended), the chances are still pretty small. Though out of logic and common sense, download it legally.
Adobe is incredibly unlikely to give you a virus. If they gave viruses, you might want to uninstall that Flash player . . . (just kidding!)
Your worrying about getting a virus from Adobe? The company that makes the software that edits the pictures in magazines? The company that makes the software to create the flash games you play online? Don't worry about it, any company with this much of a reputation wont give you a virus. If you have a PC you should have an anti virus program, if you have a mac, they don't get virus's.
if you have comcast high speed internet, go to comcast.net, go to security and the latest version of norton is there for a free download, only for comcast customers though, an over $200 value.
Don't worry. If you download it from Adobes website, then nothing will go wrong. Nobody else has ever reported getting a virus from adobes website, so just take a small risk, and download it.
There is no risk. I just emailed Adobe about it. They said that it is 100% virus free and if you get a virus they will give you a free copy of their Master Collection.
If you are still worried about it, right after you finish downloading it run a virus scan.
