I was just watching a few episodes of Burn Notice and thought that it might make good RPG. So why not?
First things first; you're a spy. Or at least, you were. Once. You know, before you got "burned". That basically means you're on the governmental watch list and you can't do anything. Your bank accounts have been audited, you have no job history, you're on every No Fly list in existence, and basically, you've got nowhere to go. So, what are you to do? Well, you have a few ways to go. You can go "goody two shoes" and help people with your covert ops skills. You can try to figure out why you were burned. Or finally, you can turn to the criminal underworld for a little extra income. Your choice. You can get a few teammates to help you out every now and again, and of course, people will come asking you for favors as well. They will not always repay you, so it's your job to make sure that the people you help out will be reciprocating your act of kindness. Cash, equipment, labor, whatever. That would be your payment. As you go along, of course you're going to attract some attention. The feds, the criminals, the other spies...all of them are going to hear about you when you start making a name for yourself. But of course, it's not all bad. The more people know about you, the more stuff you'll have access to, and the more people who will want to join your crew. Hey, you might not have cash. You might not have a job. You might not have a place to live. You might not have anyone who's willing to talk to you. But you do have your skills. Deal with it.
