you were a ranger, your grandfather a legend that died fighting off foul creatures aiming to destroy the land. The demons were after an ancient artifact, if the artifact is destroyed a power of evil that is invincible would be unleashed upon the world, your dad died killing a warlock that wanted to destroy the artifact. yeras later the artifact was found by a peasent and served him as a tax to the king, the king found the artifact and let the priests find out the artifact's prophecy, though they mis-interpreted it, telling the king the destroyer of the artifact would become invincible in strength, and so the king wanted to destroy it, though it could only be destroyed in the middle of the elf forest, a place protected by a gigantic animal guardian. He heard of you, you had a knack for making animals trust you, and in fighting monsters too, he also knew about the mark, the ranger's mark. That sacred mark passed on generation to generation in your family gives its owner an enchatment making monsters and animals alike trust you and not attack you. And so he sent you on a quest to kill the guardian, in return he promised to give you the artifact which you knew the actual prophecy of, you killed the guardian and wanted to claim your price, but the king had evil in his heart, and so he set an assasin to kill you once you were in the castle and make it look like he was trying to get the artifact too, only he didn't succed, you understood your situation quick enough.. and so you grabed the artifact, charged out the castle and rode your steed to safety, there are still assasins on your tracks, you have to finally keep the artifact safe!
you are the wanderer

"let me tell you a story then" Martlin says "do you know how you killed the guardian?"
once again you have a flashback: You are on the worm like monster when you look at the sky and a bright red sky gets deflected from your mark and points at a point in the creatures head, then you take out your sword and
its over, again you are staring into the green eyes of Martlin looking at you suspiciously
"forest works in strange ways.... anyway you killed that guardian by the shear power of the king ranger. It runs in your veins. It all started when your ancestor, long ago, made a deal with the goddess of nature to become extremely powerful in return for protecting her most sacred forests. The deal was assured when the goddess sort of marked a stone from the ground of the barrier spot... apparently a stone blessed directly by the goddess has some powers to it" Martlin says
"tell me, have you ever noticed unusual stuff happening when you are around animals or other creatures?" Tanren, now back from putting Noban in the medic building asks
"also what about a legendary creature stronger than an army of demons LET you kill it and a guardian of the forest that would naturally blow your fire out and stumble upon your tent with rage just looked at you calmly? Does that make any normal sense?" Tanren asks sarcastically. "Also there is the little thing we mostly came here for" he says staring at your bag "you do not understand the importance of the great artifact Talow... you do not... understand it"
"some thing bad will happen!? Something BAD!? The destruction of the world that's what you call bad!" he screams "ages ago the god of demons decided to create an abomination. He used the blood of the war and nature god, then his own blood to create.... A monster. Not just any monster. Doom. Simply as it is, it is doom. The abomination killed" Daligan interrupts him "well only... hurt... gods cannot be truly killed" then Martlin continues "hurt more than five gods and caused horrible terror in the land. As a final effort the god of deep ground sacrificed himself, and thus his land, to make a sort of cage where they will imprison the doom creature. It worked and the 'cage' was sealed, the seal is the artifact. If destroyed the cage will be destroyed, thus letting the doom creature loose"
"exactly, and if that nice paokai that came to visit would have killed you and snatched your bag you could say the same" Tanren explains "which is why the power was given to the rangers, to protect the artifact" he says "let me ask you a question, do you remember how you even got this artifact?" Martlin asks
"no, not that, I mean, why did you want to get the artifact? Did dyou already know this whole story when you came up to him and stole it from his hands?" Tanren asks
