The year is 2411. Earth itself is nearly destroyed, so humanity decides to build a large spaceship, and go to a planet scientists saw in 2378. Workers can build the spaceship with any tools neccesary, because the world doesn't matter anymore. Soon, in 2411, the shuttle is done. Able to hold up to 2,000,000 people, it's name is Spaceferry. Of the near 10-trillion people now on earth, you are one of the two-million people to board the Spaceferry. You are either, one of the scientists that assisted in finding the new planet, a worker who built the ship, a high ranked military official that will guard the Spaceferry, or an architect who designed the ship.

when you create a char. answer to the below
"hello, and welcome to the Spaceferry." says a man next to the entrance. "I need to see your I.D. before you can continue." *you show him your I.D.* "ok" he says "scientists to the left, builders and architects to the right, and military officials just go straight" he says.
(thought I might make another rpg, and feel free to ctritisize me, i welcome it. BUT don't just say "this game stinks!" because that won't help me improve )
name:Foss, Jorge class:Scientist age:22 looks:4'11 short brown hair personality:Likes to have fun, but can cause trouble a lot, joined the scientists 2409, wanting to be a architect, but had the skills of a scientist ---abilities--- Health:250 Strength:10 Intelligence:50 Dexterity:25
"ok, i'll go to the science lab" i say, walking off.
Sonic will call you a baka, loco shall call you an idjut, my alter ego will call you "metumtam" And I shall just say you are a newb to RPG and RP making and you should get better by working hard to improve instead of making a lot of RPGs and hoping the next one will be better (like mech)... And you haven't turned into mech (yet)... If you want any help, ask me, I am a veteran (slang type veteran) to RPG making, both in forums and real life before it... I am here to help...
well, up above, i said you're free to critisize, also this is only my second rpg, yes i am new to rpg making, although i have some experience from other sites. but yes, i've been asking people to help me improve, and, as said above in my first post, i specificly (can't spell that :'( ) said not to call it stupid, or anything like that, i just want help to improve, and this is basically the basis of all my rpg games, so yes, please tell me what i should do oh wise and masterful elder. * bows down * (lol jk)
NOTE: The following text is NOT on how to make an RPG, but on how to make one better
Well first thing the setting is very good, I hope you worked out the setting and made it important for the game, settings that are just there for fun but don't have anything to do with the course of the game are like poetic elements in a limerick, it shouldn't be there.
Second thing after setting is the beginning, the character sheet, I really think you made a fine job but the only problem is the stats, stats (to my opinion) are rubbish unless you want to make it a really complex character and RPG, like DnD, or the Exalted (Which I am still learning to master from my super-awesome-cousin).... Some people may beg to differ but this is my personal opinion...
Third thing is the actual gameplay... It maybe secret but I am not sure there will be much of an interesting gameplay if you are, say, a worker... As a scientist I can see you probably discover the specifications of alien life, If I am right... If it does you can't just have tasks for on-and-on... You need some sort of surprise... Like a sort of un-expected climax...
For the soldier thing I can see the gameplay could be interesting... And simple
For the architect... Do you have problem scenarios that the architect needs to fix?
For the worker I seriously think there is not much gameplay unless you plan something special...
By the way, don't make up everything as you go... Only the dialogue! It is EXTREMELY important that you understand that...
If this was helpful please tell me, I want to make a thread like obould's (that will be much more specific) On how to IMPROVE on RPG making...
ok, yes it was good, but a few things i wanted to let you know.
btw since this probably isn't going to work ill let you know what happens
1.worker. does things such as:repair the outer sections of spaceship, will get gun eventually for exciting outerspace battles outside of ship
2. architect. in the ship, i'm not sure, probably help the workers for the time being, but eventually (week or so) we were going to land on the planet, where they will be nearly the main element for survival
3.soilder.take scouot ships for scouting, prelanding on planet etc.
4.scientists. invent guns for the military and other, i had a good idea on a secret rebellion from aliens desguised as humans where they will be forced to survive without anything in the science section of ship, on planet, they will be able to have a fun time exploring (with military guard, of course.) etc.
anyways, that was my idea
with character.
personality was supposed to be bio. but the sticky says i should set it apart from most rpgs,
the strength will allow you to do certain thhings. EX. (you'rte scientist when aliens invade ship) "oh wow you say" as you see a large pile of dead scientists blocking the entrance to the override room (idk EX. though so :P) if you are strong enough you can clear the way *req. 50 strength+sanitizer.
well let me know how to improve
and yes, that is a very good guide, you should make onne.
