You where at the height of your life. You where a star. A hero. An explorer. But now...
It has been almost a year. You and a hundred men and women on a revolutionary ship, the Columbus 5000, traveling to Nebula 15, the furthest any traveler has ever made. Seven planets circled the sun, three of which are said to be able to support life with minimal terraform. They where supposed to be paradise. They are nearly ten light years away, but that is where your revolutionary ship comes in. Once it was a good five solar units away from the dock, it used a gravity drive to literally bend space enough to not only slow down time, but cross vast distances. Or that is what you heard in the news. It was supposed to use some kind of small item with near infinite density, a black hole was it? You don't remember. It simply wasn't important now. The drive seemed to work, for a few seconds. Then the engine collapsed in on it's self. Not only was the gravity drive broken, but the normal engine was also disabled. And worse, you where many light years from where you entered the gravity drive. Even worse, you where hurtling toward an unknown planet. Your captain assured you that everything was under control and told you to go to the sleeping tubes. You where put in an artificial sleep. That was a year ago, according to your neat digital watch. The only thing that seemed to have survived the atmosphere... Besides your pod and a large amount of scrap. Perhaps some of your crew members survived, perhaps not. But for the moment you just look at the large red sun and think "What the hell just happened?"
Your age must be from 18-30. Your race may be one of three: Human: I assume you know what this is. Companion: The dog of the future. It has been genetically altered to be almost human. It still has a mostly canine face with hair surrounding it's body. It is stronger and faster than a human, but it is slightly less intelligent and obedient to humans. It only possess minimum capacity for speech and typically uses physical expression over words. It can use tools, but do to it's less dexterous hands, is not as good with tools as a human is. Enhanced human: A human with a biological, technological, or other implant which has different positive and negative consequences. Please state your enhanced part, and how it is enhanced.

You get out of your pod and take a look around. You seem to be in some kind of forest. The trees are rather tall, with leaves only on the top with no branches, and large roots. Looking on the ground, you see a few scattered leaves about the size of your hand. The ground seems to be wet, though not muddy, your foot sinks about an inch into the soft dirt. You sniff the air, smelling nothing but the strong-smelling fluids from your sleeping pod.
You then check your body. Amazingly, you seem to be unharmed. Your hair and nails have grown slightly, but otherwise you are the same since you entered the pod. The air seems cold, though not unpleasantly so. It is light out, though you an hardly see the sky true the thick leaves.

You start off in a random direction, as one direction seems as good as any other. The scenery rarely changes, the land fairly flat with the same form of trees. After an hour of monotonous walking, a sudden breeze picks up, seemingly from all directions, and you manage to notice several smells. One way you smell the chemical smell of a sleeping pod, and in the opposite direction you smell smoke. The only other smell was a strange, sweet smell that was rather faint. You think for a moment. You could go to the space pod, where it is more likely that you will find someone but you don't know what good state they will be in. It also may take from two hours to a day to waken them, depending on the species of the sleeper. You could head to the fire, which may not be made by a crew member, but if it is then it means that they are alive and have made a camp. Or you could head to the sweet smell, forgetting the goal of finding other pods and instead look for food.

The person in the pod is most likely dead. I shouldn't be thinking of food right now. I'll take the risk, and head over to the smell of smoke.

You head to the smell of smoke. After about ten minutes in it's general direction, you pick up the scent manage to find a camp. Before you can think how you should approach this, a you are tackled from behind and thrown to the grown. You manage to turn around, where you see an enhanced human over you. Half of his face is covered by mettle, with a red shard of an eye that zooms in and out like an old-fashioned camera. His hands are raised at waist level, with blue sparks spewing out of mettle hands.
He could have mistaken you for a hostile force, accidentally tackling you, in which case you should say something before you get electrocuted. He may be desperate for food, not caring who or what he eats. If that is the case you would have to try fighting him, or let him eat you if you prefer. He may not even be human, though that is unlikely.

The man blinks twice (An impressive feat, do the the fact he only has one real eye) and looks at you, the sparks in his hand dying. He gets off of you and yells up to a random tree "Its OK! It is just a companion!" at which another man in the tree comes down. He then offers his hand to you and states "I am sorry. We have just been a little bit...Jumpy lately. We have a fire and some shelter. If you don't mind that both are made only of leaves. That seems to be all we have around here. Well I am Smith and this is Patrick, though his friends call him 'Bobo'..." at which the other man, apparently named Bobo interrupts him. Bobo was taller than the other man, with slightly more muscular arms, and feet like hands, though his feet seemed weak. He had a small beard, though nothing out of the ordinary he seemed look overall like a monkey. His voice was rather deep "You talk to much Smith. Get to the important stuff." at which Smith replied "Ah yes. Well the important part is that night is coming and we want to get in the tree before nightfall. We have three lean-tos in this tree, funny story about a human who used to hang with us. He went walking one night and we never saw him again, which is the same reason we don't go out at night. You see, I have a theory..." at which Bobo gave him a violent look, at which Smith ended his sentence. "Err right." Smith continued "Well we have extra room. If you want to hang with us, feel free. If you want to go off on your own, fine, but at least stay with us for the night! This is a strange world, not one you want to be alone in!"
If you stay here, you can have the protection of a group as well as some company. If you stay for only a night, you can travel to a more-hospitable place, or if your lucky back home somehow. If you choose to reject the offer completely, you can explore more, but you risk the dangers that Smith and Bobo seem to think is out there. So what do you do?

Smith speaks "Why yes, yes of course. Bobo, will you please show your new friend to his room?". Bobo grabs the tree with his arms and beckons you to him with his feet. Once you get close enough to him, Bobo picks you up using his feet. Bobo grunts a lot, and he seems to be sweating even in the cool air, but otherwise he seems to be able to lift you quite easily. After a few minutes, you break threw the top of the tree. Bobo drops you off, and slides back down. A few minuets later, Bobo comes back up holding Smith. Smith then does his favorite thing and speaks. "Your room is over there. I sleep over here, and Bobo sleeps over there. It isn't much, but it is home. Goodnight! Oh, and if you snore to much, I may have to push you out of the tree or electrocute you in your sleep. But other than that, we have relatively few rules. Now..." before Bobo interrupts with another glance as strong as Smith's mettle face. Smith than smiles and says "Oh right. We where about to sleep" and heads off toward his room. Bobo lays down and starts playing with some leaves. So you take this time to examine your surroundings.
In the sky, you see a cloud that looks like it could shoot thunder and rain any second. There is a red dot moving across the sky, probably the sun. You can see far in any direction, but it all looks the same. Just forest land. You then examine the tree itself. It looks kind of like a palm tree from the top, except the leaves are not just one big leaf, but many small ones that look much like scales. The place where your standing is flat and just as thick as the stump on the ground. You look to your new shelter, finding that Smith was correct. It was just a pile of leaves. You then enter the shelter, and find that it was actually quite comfortable. The former occupant seems to have used soft-padded leaves to make a kind of bed, and hard-dried leaves to form a kind of shell. You take a random dried leaf and feel it. It is hard, it makes you think of a rock, but you are able to crush it with some effort. You lie down and go to sleep.
You wake up and poke your head out of the door, with the red dot just starting it's rotation around this planet. You can barely open your eyes, you feel really tired. You could seize the day and use all the time you have to explore, eat, and whatever else you wish to do, by waking up either Smith or Bobo to help you down or get you food or whatever you wish to ask them. You could get up and walk around the small aria that you have, the tree may be ten feet in diameter. Or you could get back in bed and sleep some more.

You stand up and examine your surroundings. You seem to be in some kind of valley, or more accurately, a huge pit. Looking around, you see sand everywhere surrounded by a large wall of mountains that seems to surround you completely. If you squint, you can make out what seem to plants, though they are rather small. There is a slight breeze, and despite the appearance of this place, you are somewhat cold. There is a slight breeze kicking up a small sand storm of sorts, which doesn't seem to blind you, but it blocks visibility to about ten feet. You are capable of seeing everything about ten feet above the ground clearly, as the sand storm seems to stop there. You can see the sky, a huge cloud of blankets with a dark red dot.
You then examine your body, finding it unchanged. You step on the sandy floor, and it isn't unpleasant to the touch. It is almost like walking on a beach at night.
You could explore this pit a little, and see what you can find, though it may be dangerous especially considering the fact you can't see more than ten feet. You could look for food, maybe examine one of the plants you saw. Or you could try to get out of this pit, maybe on to one of the mountains where you would be able to see a lot, considering their height.

I wouldn't like to be caught in an ambush tired, and I don't want to bother my new friends. I'll just sleep some more.

I got distracted halfway threw righting the paragraph for an hour or so, so when I got back and finished the post glitched. I don't want to rewrite this, so I will just give an overview.
Basically Smith taught you how to get food and water, by digging a hole in the ground to get water, and pulling up one of the leaves on the top of the tree to get a fruit. The fruit is in a hard shell, so you have to use a piece of hardened leaf shaped in a blade, or other strong object. Hope that is enough, it is really annoying to rewrite two to three paragraphs...

I ask Smith and the other guy if they want to explore with me.
