I'm sorry, but I cannot understand how one would fail at typing anything with their elbows; either vertically or horizontically, the ('corner' of the) elbow itself is not that big a surface area to press any more than one buttons at a time. Unless you're in a hurry.

I think me and everyone else is using the fat part of their elbows, which is almost the entire elbow :P

Actually, I guess you were not mistaken to do that. The rule does not make it clear whether it's all of the elbow or just that one pointy part, the bone. The former, on the one hand, is what would make sense, for the post to be challenging and/or funny, yet the latter, on the other hand, resembles a finger most, and would be possible, although a bit difficult, to type with.
