If the island had a high ground, I'd go to the highest point with adequate supplies of food, fresh water/small water purifier and a camping set. The "in 10 minutes" kinda prevents me from recovering all of my possessions, but I recover what valuables I can until I absolutely have to leave to have enough time to get up to the highest point.
If it's flat, I get in a shelter with food, fresh water, a light source+batteries and camping supplies so I can wait it out. I woulp probably have more time to recover valuables.
