This is basically the same game as the one that has been running for quite a while, but it will be all official material, no house rules or non-rulebook sources of any kind, and I may enforce mandatory characters if things get too far out of hand (TRF has said that things were getting carried away in the other game). I also want chracter and OOC dialouge to be better managed, in other words don't fill this game up with a bunch of meaningless chatter (If all you want to do is talk about something, do it in the other game). New players are always welcome, and in fact encouraged, even if you don't own any of the books or know any of the rules. If any new players want to join, see the other game for rules, give me a race and class, and I will take care of the rest. As soon as at least 4 characters are made, this game will begin. The module I am using is a DCC, known as "The Black Pearl" (and I don't mean the ship from Pirates of the Caribbean)
Okay, I thought I had to come up with an intricately choreographed spell combo.
I take a dagger and a handkerchief. I balance the dagger on my fingertip by the point (Mage Hand to hold it there), drape the handkerchief over the dagger (then use the same Mage Hand to hold the handkerchief in place while I use prestidigitation to pop it up my sleeve), reveal that the dagger is gone, put the handkerchief back over my hand (pull the dagger back out with Mage Hand and cast Light on it), reveal the now glowing dagger is back, drape it again (dispel Light), reveal it no longer glows, flip it in the air (Mage Hand is moving it in the air), shoot it with Magic Missle to make it fly at a spectator (Mage Hand is still holding it) and stop it 3" away from his face (Mage hand again) and then have it get a bulls' eye on a dartboard (Mage Hand yet again), bow to the audience.
(sound of dice rolling) Well, you barely managed to avoid putting somebody's eye out with that dagger, but the other guy's trick blew up in his face, so one down, 4 to go.
A contest to identify a potion without using magic or the potion itself simply by analyzing its phenotypical traits and such. i suggest Knowledge (Arcana) combined with Craft (Alchemy) and don't forget Gnomes' sensitive noses.
4 POINTS, YOU NEED 4 POINTS!!! (getting tired or something, idk)
Ok, so you want to play the chef's game, blindfolded, you attempt to indentify what is set before you based solely n smell? ok, 3 successes are needed to win, this is what you want to do?
