This RPG is a cyberpunk fantasy. For those of you who do not know what that is, it's very simple. Cyberpunk is a genre of science fiction in which there is a futuristic setting, often focussing on a dystopia society and how technology has become a negetive factor in human life. There are often two or more competing factions, often rebels vs. the technocratic rulers.
That explained, a cyberpunk fantasy is a cyberpunk story with elements of fantasy mixed in. Often in the forms of magic and/or mythical races.
Story
The year is 2029 of the Revelation (TR for short). For the past century and a half the world has been at peace under the watchful eye of its world government, the United World Coilition. Within the past decade several "terrorist" attacks have been launched against key UWC personel and holdings in the city of Ciron. These attacks have been traced to a former neutral faction known as the Mystics. In recent years this faction has changed its name to the Techno Liberation Movement.
Factions
The United World Coilition
The UWC was formed in 568 TR originally it was a small group of Humans and Elves who banned together for the benefit of mutual protection from the Techno-Mana wars that waged across the world. Originally the UWC focussed on trying to find a balance between the development of technology and magic, yet as years went by it became easier and easier to develop technological advancements such as cybernetics and cloning.
In 1002 TR the UWC had gained enough military power to begin subduing the other warring factions across the globe. In 1846 TR the last of the Unification Wars came to a close.
The Technocratic Liberation Movement
The TLM, formerly known as the Mystics, were founded before The Revelation. Throughout history the Mystics were the studiers of the magical arts. When The Revelation came the Mystics rejected technology, and many times, violently so. In 2000 TR it was recorded that the last of the Mystics were subdued from spewing anti-UWC propaganda. Ten years later they re-emerged as the Technocratic Liberation Movement, claiming to be the decendants of former Mystic memebers. While this claim as accepted as fact, it has yet to be proven definitively.
Mercenaries
Throughout history there have always been those who will fight if the price is right. Mercenaries are a common agent and are used by both the UWC and TLM and therefore considered a neutral faction seeing as they may be bought from one side to the other and vice versa.
Races
Humans
Humans are the most populous of all the races. They are short lived, and despite technological advancements may only reach 150 years of age. They are stronger than Elves and often prove more effective at the use of balistic weaponry, though they are competent with meleee weapons. They may learn magic though are sorely tested in handling it well. +5 Str +2 Acc
Elves
Also known as the First Race, Elves are extremely long lived, though not immortal. The oldest Elf ever recorded was Hintir who lived to one thousand years of age. Elves are extremely effective at using melee weapons and magic attacks. They are less effective at balistics training and consider it a dishonourable way to fight. Elves are not as robust and muscular as Humans, but are far more agile and perceptive. +5 Int +2 Agl
Cybetics
Also known as cyborgs. Cybernetics are either Elves or Humans who have undergone a technological augmentation to their body to make them stronger, faster and more intelligent than their biological counter parts. Unfortunatly this augmentation makes them susceptible to magic and unable to weild it. They are excelent at both melee and balistic weaponry. +2 Int +2 Str + 2 Agl

No, Sorry I miscounted. There's only 1 assassin...
No, there are two assassins. But four sages and two assassins only adds up to 6. I think that we still need one more player. Und I haf decided to be a soldier. Since there's already another assassin. It was a debate between the two, anyway.
