So you want to make a popular game on the Armor Games forums, right? Then, here are a couple of tips for you.
1. Think of something; Think of a good idea and a great way to play the game. Take for an example, you think of something taller than what the person above you says.
2. Start making the thread; If your gonna make your thread, look at some other posts in the forum games section first before making your own game.
3. No advertising; Most people think advertising is a good idea, however, it isn't. Advertising is a very selfish thing to do, and doesn't make much sense if it's just for a single thread.
4. Give the game a good statement; Make it a game that makes sense and that people will want to play. A good example (also a real thread), "You're Banned! Tell the person above you they're banned for a typical reason!" A bad example, (not a real thread) "Drink the Orange Juice! Pass the orange juice to people so they can drink it!" A thread like this isn't fun to anyone.
5. Make the game active; Make the game when the community is really active. This will bring more attention to people.
6. Bump the thread; If the thread isn't being played, give the thread a bump. This will make people start playing again.
7. Make the thread interesting as it goes'; Every once in a while, people will start loosing interest in your thread. Add some new ideas to your thread and it will attract more people. It will also make your game alot more interesting the the Armor Games Community. The people playing your game will also start making it more interesting.
8. Watch the thread grow; Soon, people will start making games based on yours, with (almost) the same name, and are dedicated to your game. Start thinking it's a cool idea for people to start making threads based on your's.
9. Don't ask; Don't ask for people to start playing your thread, otherwise no one will play the game and that also means your being selfish.
