I've started using external .as files for my Flash games and I've found out that any text editor can be used to edit them.If you open a .as file in Notepad, then it won't come up with jumbled stuff.This means that it's technically possible to do almost all the coding work of a Flash game without even using Flash.Of course, there's no real need to do that, but it's still nice to know.
It's a language I can code the game on paper at school if I so desired. There is no restriction on what you can produce the code on but only what can run the code.
