Ah... 'Twas a blitzkrieg. Infantry and tanks, moving very quickly, cut through Belgium into France, where the French, being French,quickly surrendered(I joke, I joke). German and Italian troops then proceeded to captured Luxembourg and the Netherlands. It only took about 6 weeks. The fall of France actually included several other important events like the Evacuation of Dunkirk and the Battle of Sedan. Terrain was mostly forests and mountains in the beginning, since German troops went through the Ardennes Forest to avoid the Maginot Line, but then it became more of an urban battle in cities. 'Nuff info?
