Xas HalftrCk pulls back a bit and goes dwn tye river to scout the other bridge crossing. Koht gives one of the Pioneers his binoculars.
The PIIIs get out of the Bofors' line of fire and the Panther receds a bit.

What's a good type of troop that's below, say, a Waffen SS unit but superb to the standard Grenadier? No Fallschirmjager.

The two pillboxes are across the river, I pointed that Out in the beginning. /map

We are currently on the other side of the river, correct? And the bridge was blown up so there's no way to cross?

Gebirgsjager?

And Noob, the Waffen SS units weren't particularly well trained. They were just Hitler's pets.

Hmm, maybe eastern front vets?

After a little drivin they come across it, suffice to say: heavily defended

Dammit Loco this is why they had Fallschirmjager: the paratroopers. The whole point was to parachute down where regular troops couldn't get to.
Would it be possible to swim the river?

And why, pray tell, did we not parachute a few yards further north so that we could bypass the bridge?

Well it would be a few dozen miles, maybe more And you'd probably been shot down as by then they were still breaking through the line

All right. SO can we swim through the river?

Well you'd need a good boat and a cloak of invisibility
