Hey,
I'm new here, but I'm not new to forumgames. I played forum games at kongregate before, but my parents banned that site so I can't play there anymore.
This will be my first game here, and to be fair I didn't make this myself. All credit for making this goes to mysterymason [url=http://www.kongregate.com/accounts/Mysterymason]!This game can be found at [url=http://www.kongregate.com/forums/36-forum-games/topics/152871-battlefield-tommiboy500-is-the-winner].

Battlefield is a turn based PvP game which plots users agaisnt each other in a 20Ã-20 grid. Each player picks a coloured square and controls it. As you fight, you level up, and use points to unlock new abilities and advantages. Everyone starts with 300HP.

Rules!
When it is your turn, you can do two things. Move your square, and then attack.

Moving
At the start of the game, your wheels only enable you to move one square. Up, down, left or right. You canât move diagonally. As you upgrade, you can move more than one space, and you donât even have to stay in a straight line.

Attacking
You can attack in two ways:

Melee â" Melee is a short range attack that deals 40 base damage. Without any upgrades, you can only melee the enemy when he is within one square of you.

Ranged â" A long range attack that does 25 base damage. You can only shoot in a straight line, and, without any upgrades, only has a range of five squares.

Challenges
Complete challenges for points. With points, you can buy upgrades and abilities. All challenges can only be completed once. Apart from the challenges, you receive 25 points per turn (for free!).

Pacifist: Donât attack for five turns in a row for 25 points.
Runner: Skip a turn for 25 points. (this is a great way to make those last 50 points to buy an upgrade)
Persistent: Move in the same direction for five turns in a row for 50 points.
Vendatta: Hit the same enemy two turns in a row â" 50 points.
Elite: Hit any player with a ranged attack two moves in a row for 100 points.
Varied: Buy 3 different abilities for 100 points.
Determined: Upgrade something 3 times for 100 points.
Ouch: Inflict 100 damage onto someone in one turn for 100 points.
Destroyer: Kill an enemy for 150 points. (this challenge can be completed multiple times)
Collateral: Hit two people with one ranged attack for 150 points.
Woah! Slow down!: Move 15 spaces in one turn for 300 points.

Should have clarified this, but only four players can play and the playable colours are: red, yellow, green, and blue.
When you sign, please pick one of these colours.

this is not how a forum game works, check out other ones to see how they work, and what to do before you make one

Why could a strategy game not be a forum game? A forum game does not have to be an rp, above user, or list game to be a forum game does it?

this isn't even a strategy game

a strategy game involves entire armies, and aren't turn based, have sheets and whatnot

If you don't like it, fine. If noone else likes it, also fine. But don't write it off right away because it's different than other games. Maybe some other people who enjoy playing turn based games will like playing this.

i'm not putting it down cause it's different, it
s cause it's lacking almost everything of a successful game

first and foremost, a sheet

Allright, here's the sheet:

Colour: (choose one of the four)
Current points: 0
Abilities: -
Upgrades: -
Completed challenges: -
Max. movement: 1
Melee range: 1
Melee damage: 40
Ranged range: 5
Ranged damage: 25
Bought items (one time use): -

plus a story, the sheet lacks age, gender, bio, physical Desc. Personality

This is a turn-based game. It does not have a story or characters, because it isn't a roleplaying game. You strategically think about your move, and try to outsmart your opponents. As a comparison: it's like a boardgame, risk for example. There is no story, no characters, the only thing that you need is the ability of strategic thinking, and the understanding if the rules.
