You used to watch gladiators for fun, to see them slaughter each other in many brutal ways, but now, you've been put in the shoes of the gladiator. You never realized how hard they had it, to have to fight for their lives everyday, but you can't change things now.
In this game, you'll be playing as a gladiator in the medieval times!
Name: (Something medieval-ish!) Age: (18 and above) Gender: (Male or Female) Race: (Human, Dwarf, Orc, Elf, Draconian) ----------------- Level 1: 0/10 Exp HP: 10/10 MP: 5/5 Stats: (25 points to put into the stats below) Strength: (Increases your physical damage) Endurance: (Increases your HP) Dexterity: (Increases ranged damage, hit chance, critical chance, etc.) Intelligence: (Increases magic damage, MP, ability to think, etc.) ----------------- Abilities: None Feats: None ----------------- Weapon: Rusty Knife (1-3 DMG) Off-Hand: None Armor: Tattered Clothes Inventory: None
With the man's back turned, you quickly charge at him and aim for his heart! You plunge your knife into his back, but it misses his heart by mere inches! Still, it looks painful!
The man ducks under, the knife making a satisfying sound as it exits his back. He does a sweep with his leg, trying to make you fall down, but you manage to jump and avoid his attack altogether! (DEX check!)
You wrap your arms around him and get a good grip on him! You move in closer and use your Lightning Breath, bathing him in torrents of electricity! Once you stop, his clothes are scorched and so is most of his body. You can still see tiny bits of electricity arcing from his body, though.
The crowd roars in approval and give a round of applause! Before long, some of the crowd start tossing coins at you! You start picking them up, and once you're done, you count a total of 18 coins.
(After a battle you will get money depending on your performance. Like style, a major comeback, etc. This can be spent on things in the arena like food or better weapons)
(Oh, and yeah, you get 3 Exp! Yep, the battle's over, but you can still continue to fight. You can still fight two more times before you call it a day)
The guard takes you back into the arena. You then go around, looking for some weapons and see a guy in the corner, with an array of weapons and armor around him. You walk up to him and ask him what he has.
You decide not to buy anything and wait for your next match to come up. (MP Recovery)
The same guard from before approaches you and guides you to the arena gates, "Hope you're ready for more, lightning breath."
You enter the arena with a lot of confidence left from your last fight. On the other side is a man wielding a long sword. He doesn't take his time and immediately charges when he sees you!
You attempt to freeze his feet to the ground, but it appears your luck has run out as the spell merely fizzles! (INT check failed) The man takes this opportunity and lunges at you, landing a solid hit with his fist on your face! (-1 HP)
(When you're not sure your command is going to work, you can always do something like this, "I try to freeze his feet to the ground, but it that doesn't work, I'll just stab him."
You try creating a strong gust of wind to push him away from you, but all you manage is a slight breeze. (INT check failed) You opt for a fireball and throw it at him. (-3 MP) It hits him in the face and makes his head go into flames. His brain is toasted to a fine crisp as he falls down, his brain no longer working. (+3 EXP!)
The crowd roars wildly! They start tossing coins at you, which you promptly pick up. Once you're done picking them up, you count a total of 23 coins! Not bad.
The same guy from before leads you back into the arena.
(You're roll was pretty much "fry his brain" high. And no, you can't keep opponents alive for the purpose of grinding them for spells. :I)
[aww you cought me XD but may i win the battle without killing them? im not really into death. actually this was the reason why i just wanted to freeze him. also... i thought im IN the arena... how does he lead me back there...?]
(Yes, you can subdue them to the point that they can't fight back any more, like snapping all their bones, but then they would get killed anyway because they're useless now. :I You got lead back into the main part of the arena, kind of like a lobby, you were in the outside part, the place where you go to fight)
"What now?" you ask the guard, a bit dumbfounded.
"Do what ya want. Buy things, practice, socialize, whatever. I don't care as long as ya don't cause trouble. You're next match is coming up soon, so I expect ya ta be there. If you don't, then I'll just have ta drag ya there."
