Humanity has always overturned the bad events that have happened to them in the past. Natural disasters, diseases, hunger, prosperity, and many more problems that have risen in the past. Humans succeed at anything they try for, and when they do, its such a huge morale boost to the world when something is done right, like when the first man set foot on the moon. Yes, it was in America and the American president made this his dream, but it was a global success.
Humanity usually finds a way to surpass something that could possibly destroy the world and all the effort put into it to make it the way it is today.
Now, a disease spreads once more, worse than any other plague humans have ever faced. It doesn't just kill. No. It goes beyond destroying the memories and souls of the humans, and brings them back to such a demonic state. They turn into mindless zombies, who stagger and lurch in the streets and feed off of the living.
Doctors have tried to find cures, but most think it is a waste of time and believe everyone should just accept what is happening and give up and get eaten. Not you. Not your organization. Or what it used to be.
You were a lab assistant for a company that was called NecroBorgia Labs. Its a corny name, and you never really thought you belonged there, but you ended up there anyways. They had maybe 100,000 workers there, and they all were always trying to create a vaccine. You thought they were stupid for creating it, and asked them why they made it, but they always told you that you and the rest of humanity needed it one day. You thought it was a ridiculous thought, but you never questioned any more after they told you that. Its not like you cared, you were getting payed $700 an hour just for standing around and making sure people didn't blow up in your face after they drink or inject a vaccine. But now you know exactly why they told you about the vaccine and why it would save humanity.
Here you are, standing in the middle of an empty apartment. You have no items, no friends you know who are alive, and no idea what to do next... or do you?

"Alright, George and Ryan. You stay in the car, and aim ready for any zombies. Gibbs, come with me. We will flank the zombies, on both sides. I will smash a window with a hammer to get them out, and then, we both shoot. We will have Ryan and George as reinforcements, in case things don't go well. Ryan, George, come to help if you hear a scream or a SHMOW-ZOW. Ready?"
"What? Are you a Jedi Master now?" George sneers. You enter the store, and see shelves, but no items on them. You go around the store, and the others spread out to look too. After 30 minutes of searching, Ryan finds the Kelsaline.
"Dude, your getting paranoid." Says George. "Lets go." George walks outside, and everyone else follows. Out of nowhere, you see two figures jump from the rooftop and onto George. They have knives, and they are stabbing him constantly. Ryan and Gibbs just sit there, surprised. You were expecting this, so you quickly rushed towards them and tackle both of them. George gets back up, and Ryan and Gibbs gain their senses, and ready their guns to shoot. You dive out of the way, and they light up the masked murderers. "What the hell!" George says, kneeling on the floor, gasping for air. Ryan and Gibbs rush towards George to assess his wounds, as you go to figure out who attempted to murder George, but its too dark to see who they were. They were dressed in completely black clothing, to blend with the night. Thanks to George's Heavy Vest, the knives didn't cause bleeding, but George is wounded. He gets back to his feet, and spits blood, as Ryan and Gibbs escort him to the Jeep.
I deliberately yell in a rather loud voice, "We've got all we need, now. Let's go. I'll drive." We all head the Jeep. There, I whisper, "Guys, aim at the men. I'll be driving back to surprise them."
So, I drive away, then come back to the drug store.
"John, get over here and search for weapons or bites." John comes over and searches you, and takes your weapon. "He's clean, no bite marks. What should we do with him?"
"Hmm. I'm not sure." He looks at you. "Why are you here, and what is your name?"
