Thw wild: the wild gives you the benefit of Slow "evolution" but lots of environmental factors including other cell, requiring more and more Adaptions. that said you could be eaten at any time.( you can either try to survive inside or restart from the nearest evolution or major change)
The lab: because Or genetic Manipulation, you have an incredible Evolutionary rate but you are very limited surroundings, the put you to the " test" weekly and if you don't met the requirement you will be dumped down the drain
