This is made up and the history is completely false, none of this happened.
In the year 1984, America had come up with a way to make any man super human, and change him into a new man physically, but the same man, mentally. But something went wrong. They tried the experiment over and over until they got it right, but it never worked properly. Unfortunately, they chose you to be a subject of the experiment. You were only 13 years old, but the men trying to prove that the machine worked, thought that the younger the subjects were, the more powerful they could be. They finally got the genes and DNA aligned perfectly with some injected medicines, and created a better you. A more intelligent, more powerful, you. But you did not want this. You didn't want to be more powerful than anyone else, or more intelligent. You just wanted to be normal, like everyone else. You wanted to live with your mother and father in perfect harmony, but they wouldn't allow this. They killed your mother and father, to make you want to be part of the experiment even more, to take revenge on them. You foolishly accepted, and they strapped you to a machine and tied you against a metal table. You get pierced by needles, and your vision slowly fades to darkness.
You awake in a capsule-like machine. You look around, and your still tied by the chains and ropes they used to keep you from leaping up during the operation. You feel stiff, but then you remember what those so called 'scientists' did to you, and your family. With unquestionable rage, you bash on the top of the capsule, and become freed of your bondage. You punch the top of the capsule, and the top flies upward, and through the roof. you sit up-right, and look around. The building you are in is old, very old, and rusty. Outside the glass windows, you see darkness, and very tall buildings surrounding the one you are currently in. Its dark in the room, but then you start to feel a change. Your eyes... change. They itch at first, then burn, but after the side affects wear off, you open them, to find that you have newly improved night vision. You get out, and stand up beside the capsule. Your very muscular, and very in shape. You feel like you could lift a 20 ton war machine if you had to. The room you are in is very messy, with wires hanging from the ceiling, and desks broken around the capsule. The ground is also cracked, and a few windows are broken. You want revenge, but you don't have a clue where you are at and why everything is in such a mess. You go over to a desk, and find a newspaper beside a beaten-up computer monitor. The first thing you see is "Happy New Year! Welcome, 2012!"
You realize that you've been in the capsule for twenty eight years. That means you must be... forty one years old. But you feel like your twenty, and in the very best shape in your life. But what will you do now? The men that caused you pain and agony are all probably dead. But maybe there is still hope to get vengeance. This includes, but is not limited to, the generation of new bone mass, projecting bones out from the skin or rearranging one's own bones. -Invisibility: Ability to render the user unseen to the naked eye. -Vortex Breathe: Ability to inhale/exhale with superhumanly powerful strength. This can range from exhalation on par with gale force winds to inhalation on par with the power of a gravitational vortex. In some cases, freezing temperatures can also be achieved. -Wall crawling: Ability to adhere to solid surfaces, including walls and ceilings. -Empathy: Ability to read or sense the emotions and/or control the emotions or feelings of others. -Time Manipulation: Ability to affect the flow of time by slowing, accelerating, reversing, or stopping it. -Teleportation: Ability to move from one place to another without occupying the space in between. -Summoning: Ability to summon beings or objects for assistance. This may range from invoking simple implements to mighty familiar spirits. -Energy Blasts: Ability to expel various forms of energy from the body. -Weather Manipulation: Ability to control or mentally affect the weather. This includes the ability to generate various natural phenomena (rain, tornadoes, lightning, ocean currents, etc.) or control the intensity of the weather. - Shadow: Ability to strike fear in the hearts of the weak and strong with use of shadows to paralyze enemies with fear.

As my name suggests, I am going to be a super hero, or an anti-hero. I read the newspaper thoroughly and look around the building for any useful items. Oh, and I also make time slow when I read the newspaper so I don't waste time.

You look at an article, and see that a bank has been robbed two days ago by thieves, and they are still at large and haven't been caught. You slowly push away items to the corners, and it takes a low amount of focus. Where the destroyed desks were, there are cracks in the floor, and water is leaking from the floor above you, into the cracks. While you used the pressure sweep, the door to the next room rattled a bit. You probably made it loose enough to open.

This one should be easy to use. I use Sympathy to induce pity, and perhaps a little attraction. "Oh, the knee. Yes, got hit pretty hard in a fight. Anyway, I actually can't quite afford the whole $36. Is there any way I could provide a little work, or anything along those lines? I could also trade this." I bring out the lower-quality pocketknife.
