The world... is not what it used to be. We have to be strong. We have to work together. They don't look the same... their eyes... they are no longer human. They stare at your soul with hunger. They use every waking second, attempting to take what is rightfully yours. Attempting to destroy the world we took so long to create. They are no longer humans, like us. So, what are we supposed to do? Some say we should just sit back, and let death consume us. Well, that's ironic. It WILL eat us. Alive. Our families... our dignity... our pride. It will all be destroyed... and our wits will be tested. It IS like someone is testing us. Someone of a higher authority. Is it God? Or is it the Devil, toying with us. Turning us into... who knows what? Flesh-hungry monsters? Or was it a stupid human being who caused all this? Who caused all of this.. turmoil. This... death. All I know is... if I found the thing responsible... I would destroy it, or kill it, whatever it is. Some of us... we are not strong enough to survive this world. We cannot keep living like this. We die so easily, when they, the menacing monsters, are so hard to kill. Some say the only way to kill them is by shooting them in the brain. Others say you could burn them. But some of the group... they don't have the guts. I keep telling them... that they need to be strong to survive the world we live in now, but they just don't have the heart or guts to go through with it. We don't have the supplies to live on, either. We lost a lot of good men. Good men that cannot be returned to the living. They belong to the monsters now. Soon, they will become one as well... and we will be no more. We are trapped... for now. I have a pistol... with four bullets left. The others... they have no weapons. Their are four of us... and four bullets in my pistol. What would you have done? You cannot judge us for what we choose. Some of us... just can't handle the pressure anymore. I was once a strong man... but my spirit is broken. I am no more of a man than the monsters attempting to tear our flesh from bones. This is it. It pains me that we aren't even given a fighting chance. This, is our final stand. It's not much of one, since we are opting out... but then again, anything is better than this. If you found this and are reading this... I wish the best of luck to you. They are coming now. Their claws... they sound horrific and terrifying, as they scrape against the glass holding them away from us. My fellow survivors... they are yelling at me to give up the gun so they can commit suicide. I have no choice... and I have to agree with their ideas. It is better to die quickly, than be eaten alive slowly, in agonizing pain. This is it. Our last stand. My final breath... will be in vein.
