Based off of Final Fantasy X, about 100 years after the timeline of the game
The teachings of Yevon are nearly dead, Spira is in total Anarchy. Factions are fighting over land, the throne, wealth, and now a reemergence of Fiends. Now the citizens have to worry about their own people, and the Fiends, whom are getting braver, going as far as attacking cities and raiding villages, they seem to have some sort of leader and a hierarchy, but that is mostly unknown, even to the scholars. You on the other hand are just your run of the mill adventurer party who got mixed up in all this.
Classes Fighter: Low armor and high speed Samurai: Tank basically, special Bushido powers Gunner: Ranger Blk Mage: Obvious Wht Mage: Healer Beast master: Can tame any fiend and have him fight for you, sub-par at melee themselves Thief: Obvious, Alchemist: Making various deadly potions and whatnot, high defense, not like a samurai Paladin: Mid armor, a bit of a mix with healer Death Knight: Same as paladin, cept mixed with the Blk mage Necromancer: Harnesses the power of life to fight for him/her, low everything Mechanist: Good at making various little robots (or big ones) and mechanical doo-dads, fair at melee and defense, magic is what they are bad at If you want to make your own class, pass it through to me first.
Factions:
Settlers: Stay on track with the way things are going after Sin died for good, keep using Machina and making new ones
Believers: The "Roots" faction, they want the opposite go back to the old ways, they will have a Summoner go out to repeat the steps necessary to kill sin every 10 years, then kill him/her
Chocobo Knights: Don't care what happens, as long as the code of Chivalry is kept, and people don't stray too far from it
Seymour's Cult: Kill everyone, end all suffering (read the article)
Maester's Council: hold the throne mostly, but are very corrupt, been known to hire out smaller factions to do their dirty work, "In the name of old Yevon"
And so many smaller factions Races: Human: simple run of the mill hooman, has a general dislike of Al-bhed Ronso: Usually hotheaded, make fierce warriors, underestimate the humans and despise the Guado for what they have done to them Guado: Tall, slender, odd looking people, look like humans though not mistaken for them, alright at being warriors, but are best with magic, only race they are marginally friends with are the Humans Al-Bhed: Look almost exactly like humans, but have a big affinity with machines, almost the outcast race, they are disliked by humans, Ronsoâs donât care for them and underestimate them as if they were human, Guado the same. The only races that Al-Bhed really hates are Guado, for the same reasons as Ronsoâs

now instead of using the whole attributes system and turn by turn play, i'm playing this like a more realistic game.

there are dozens of Chimera and worse versions of them, it isn't the only one, the only unique fiends are bosses, the rest are a dime a dozen
