Bio: A nimble fighter the commander is known to be a jack of all trades though most that know him would agree that he dabbles in explosives and electronics more than other forms of warfare. For unknown reasons during combat the commander has a dulled sense of morality. Slightly hot-headed, brash, and blunt he makes a weak diplomat but an effective leader. (I'll update this as we go along if possible.)

As I still have no news from recons, I send an other soldier to search for them.
I ask 10 citizens to make some researches to develop some basic traps for small animals. When they have found how to make them with surroundig natural materials, they are in charge of disposing them all around the camp.

I ask my soldiers how much they are.
If less than 30, I take my soldiers and militia with all my weapons and the truck.
I demand them to move to the camp, visible but not aggressive, and request them to join us, arguing that I have food and weapons.

If they do not accept, My soldiers have to find their leader and attack him. I want to keep alive a maximum of population, and scare them as few as possible.

When everything is done, a militia has to come back to report and receive new orders.

might i suggest training some militia to use your m14's and other guns?

your builders think they can make a foundation of a house now with the ropes and the new ideas they found with mud
they easily guide the cows but going very slowly
they head to the mountains to gather wood

If I can't then I'll move to the mountain on river side. I have no available ressources where I am right now. But the decision wiil be taken depending of the result of my expedition.
