In the year 2034... Mining can be dangerous, being crushed, suffocated, or trapped and starved to death are only the usual risks. You could also be redirected into the sewer and drowned, shot by other rogue miners, or eaten alive by monsters from the depths. But they pay is good, the right merchants will pay handsomely for minerals or metals, and the wrong merchants will pay the gear you steal from other miners. The magnum clip could replace the magazine already in your weapon, but allow me to change your character sheet if you want to do that. You leave the armory and go through the other door. This leads out into a rocky chamber. Another door cut into the stone and framed in brass leads back into the building you were in before.

The entity is actually fairly vulnerable sitting on top of the machine gun, but you'll probably be eviscerated by several dozen bullets if they don't fall for your ploy.
As you approach the first mound you realize it's actually actually a stone statue of a human head about 10 times the real size. The surface of the statue is saturated in little glowing blue beads of moisture.

You reach within a meter and a half of the mounted-gun before they turn and see you. With a horrified shriek the entity starts furiously crank the barrel to your direction, but by the time its facing you your close enough to bat the creature off the mounted gun and do so. The entity is much lighter than it looks and bounces twice off the ground before getting to it's feet and hissing venomously. The entity is about 2 foot tall, it's head is vaguely lemon shaped, and features two slitted white eyes. The entity has no visible mouth, it's hand are like mittens with only a thumb and fused finger part.
You stab the statue with the knife and the knife bounces off the rock with a grating sound. If you actually want to damage the rock I suggest using your pick-axe.
