Well I'm new the art forum and I haven't posted much here before, but I'm going to post some of my own original art here now.
I created the following using Microsoft Paint.

This feels more like a debate in the politics forum.

This art might be called expressionism by definition, but I'm just want to make pretty/interesting/cool artwork.
Honestly, are those last two pieces so bad? I'm not trying to be the next Monet or whatever, just take it for what it is.

But, by definition, expression isn't about being &quotretty/interesting/cool". It is about the emotion or mood behind it and what emotion or mood it conveys.

Do not take criticisms so personally, they are not personal attacks. They are to help you grow as an artist.

Also, what kind of art medium do you use for this? Kind of looks like markers/paint.
